Hiiiiieeee ya'll!

This has been one of the coolest weeks ever!! So much has happened there would be no way to fit it all into an e-mail but I will attempt to cover the events of the most significance!

First and foremost.
So we were going to meet a member in the brea mall food court for dinner one night. We parked our car and were walking across the street towards the doors when we see this mercedes pull up and all these big ol crazy black girls get out! One of them spots us and gets this huge smile and just starts dancing and yellling,"Yeah mormons! (clap) Yeah mormons! (clap) Missionaries! (clap) Missionaries! (clap) Lds! (clap) Lds! (clap) I'm a member! (clap) I'm a member! (clap)" and she's just crumpin and yelling this at us and people in the parking lot looked soo confused! and We were just dying laughing and her friends were dying laughing too! It was soo funny! She parked her car and came up and started talking to us. Shavawnte Barns is her name! haha she's a member of the church from just north of her. She moved from i think missouri a couple months ago and she loves missionaries! haha she actually escorted us to the food court just asking us the whole time if she can get us anything or buy us anything. So funny! haha but soo cool too!

Item No. 2

Guess what? we got a call from the ap's notifying us that we can't have instruments anymore!! Except this time it came from the missionary department so no more instruments ever!! So i'm probably gunna send the Ukulele home soon! Lame!

Thanks for getting those Projector Cd's ready to go! People have been asking for them and I might need more soon so thank you!

So this week was way good! we had a grand total of 14 lessons, but the cool part is 9 of those were lessons to investigators with a member present! That's the highest number of member present lessons I've ever heard! That's the great thing about being in a singles ward. Singles are free all the time. It's awesome. We actually had a day this week where we didn't get to eat lunch or dinner because we had district meeting and the rest of the day we had back to back lessons! We were starving but it was awesome!! We have 2 new investigators. 4 with a baptismal date. and 3 came to church!
You guys. Yesterday was one of the best sundays of my whole mission! It was fast and testimony meeting so normally it's way sketchy and we hold our breath right? But it was soooo awesome yesterday!! Everyone bore the coolest testimonies!! It was inspiring! One of our investigators who's been investigating for a while (kaylyne) even got up and bore her testimony!! Needless to say she's getting dunked soon. But we had Orien there, who's just solid and he's getting baptized after conference next sunday!  Every lesson was just so powerful and everyone was being awesome. It was perfect! Even Elder Bartholomew and I bore our testimonies at the end.
So a little more about kaylyne. She's been taught for about 6 months now. Her boyfriend is a member and she's been close to baptism about 2 times but always backs away from it. She grew up anti mormon with the rest of her family just like everybody else in cali, but because of her boyfriends example she realized there is something more and now she lives all the standards. he's kind of out of the picture and she is fully engulfing herself in the gospel. We just started back up teaching her regularly again this week. She's soo cool! She's incredibly sincere about this. Her testimony is powerful and she has conviction. My comp said that he's never seen her like how she has been this past week. In her testimony she talked about the persistence of the missionaries and how that is a testimony to her of the truthfulness of the church. So cool!

We also taught a guy named Irvin this week. I had the opportunity to help the rest of his family get baptized when I first got to la Habra! They lived in the ward right next to ours and on exchanges I would go teach his family before and after their baptisms. Everyone in his family got baptized except for him, because he didn't feel that the past missionaries could answer his questions very well. Which is no surprise cuz they sucked. Then they moved to brea which is in our boundaries cuz we cover 2 stakes. He's 21 and I thought hmmm I already have a connection so lets go teach him. They were all actaully way stoked to see me! It was pretty awesome. Irvin was excited to learn again so we had a lesson with him and he has a dunk date for April 14th(special day)! He's such a cool kid. I loved getting to know the Godinez family back in LH and now I have the opportunity to see them even more! So awesome.

I'm so excited for Oriens baptism! He's the most sincere investigator I've ever taught. He loves meeting with us and loves the gospel so much! He's an awesome kid. You guys would love him. I'll take some pics no worries!

It's been a busy, yet eventful, and amazing week. The lord is overloading us with blessings! I love this ward!! This is the coolest singles ward! Everybody is awesome and way cool! The work is progressing and miracles are happening! I couldn't possibly be anymore blessed than i am now.

I wanted to extend a commitment to all of you. So we went to deseret book last week and Elder Bartholomew got the past 3 conferences on dvd so we've been watching them. There was one talk that was incredibly powerful that I want you all to watch if possible, or to read. It's the one by President Henry B. Eyring called Trust in God, then go and do. I believe it was in October or 2010. I know we can recall what he said, but by the deliverence of his message and the things he says, it is powerful. Watch it or read it and tell me what you think in next weeks e-mails! Don't forget!

Aight you guys. I love you each so much! I pray for each of you everyday and I think about you continually! I miss the snot-crap-poop-dump-heck-shiz(<its ok cuz its in the Book of Mormon :)) out of each of you!

Love
Elder Keyes
