Brethren and Sisters!!
Wuddup!?
It's good to hear from you!!
Ok remember how I keep saying I will send my pictures home? I'm going to legitley do it today! No games! I kept wait to write a little note or something to put in there, but I'm just going to send the card straight up!
So missionary work is awesome! Kaylyn is getting really excited for her baptism next saturday! It's going to be a spiritual feast. Something has really clicked with her lately. I think she finally got rid of her skeptical attitude and since she's done that, now she's really seeing the blessings come through. So that's exciting!
We met with Brandon Ford and had a really progressful lesson with him! The spirit was really strong and he brought up his concern about giving up his life style to join the church. He said he believes but he just can't give up some things. We talked to him about how we're all on different levels and the church is not for perfect people, but rather is for the imperfect. Shared with him about how Jesus ate with the sinners and the Politicians and the Pharisees complained about that, but then he told them how he comes to save the sinners. It was a great lesson and then he came to church yesterday! He actually gave on of my favorite members a ride! haha. So he's coming along great!
I can't believe Joann College passed away! She was my Ma on trek! She's such an awesome lady! Please give me Brother College's address. I would like to write him a letter.
Sounds like the Bike trip was fun! I love the Eynons too. They are pro at being awesome. If you took any pics I'd love to see em!
Yes mom, I got my easter package forever ago! thanks again for that it was amazing! i don't think I ever realized this, but my favorite part about Easter is Cadburry Eggs. I actually had to buy another pack last week because I downed the other, and I'm actually out again! If I have spare money this week, you best believe I'm getting some more!
So I hope you remember the Minors right? We met with Brice this last week and he had an amazing experience. He told us that on Tuesday he was at his friends house, but they were off doing something so he was just in one of their rooms by himself. Something prompted him to kneel down and say a prayer out loud. So he did that and explained to us that it's the most sincere he's ever prayed. As he was doing this, the Holy Ghost comletely overwhelmed him. He looked us in the eyes and with such astonishing conviction said,"I know that was God. The Holy Ghost came to me. I know it for a fact." It was amazing to hear him re-visit this experience in front of us. He was so excited to share it. He told us he was just at his friends house crying, then went and told his friends to take him home right then. They took him home and he went in his room, called his family and told them, then read his scriptues until night came, then he prayed again and went to bed feeling "The happiest I've felt in a long long time". What an incredible pleasure it is to hear an experience like that. He told us with tears in his eyes,"None of that would've happened if it wasn't for you. if you hadn't come over here, I wouldn't have experienced that and I wouldn't have felt that happiness that I know for a fact came from God. Thank you so much." And went on to explain that he feels like he needs to serve a mission and that's why life hasn't been going really well for him lately is because he should be on a mission. And told us we need to come over and teach him more. What an amazing experience right? This is what being a missionary is all about. We didn't give him this experience, we were simply just tools in the Lord's hands. We came to him at the right place and time because we followed the spirit, and look what happened. Heavenly Father was able to give one of his children an undenying experience coupled with a strengthening of a testimony of his Divine Love for all of us. And we were just the instruments. How powerful.
Other than that nothing too huge has been going on this week! Elder Bartholomew and I are getting along way well and things are happening in this area! It's so much fun to be apart of this.
Hmm I think that about covers this week!
If I could request one thing in the next package whenever that is, face lotion that has NO SPF in it. No sunblock at all. Just straight up face lotion. Thank you!
I love all of you. You are in my prayers. Each of you are. I think about you every day. I feel your prayers everyday and I thank you for them. They keep me going when hands hang low!
I miss you! I am so excited to see/talk to you on Mothers day!
love
Elder Keyes
