Hey you guys!!

I have to say a couple things on my mind before I forget! (you know how I am about forgetting things)

#1 I think I lost my blank sim card so I"m going to get a new one so I can send my full one to you today. Sorry about that. I'm not too sure where I put it!

#2 Rylee Porter is getting married!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? To who!?!?! Where!?!? Details por favor!!

#3 You guys are the best family that could ever exist

#4 Being an AP is dope

#5 To answer your questions, for my birthday I would like, 1 nice e-mail from each of you and a Picture of each of you attached to the e-mail, I know you're probably going to send a box wether I like it or not, and if there was a print out copy of a RECENT picture of each of you in that box that would be really awesome. I'm still stocked on goodies that you sent from the last awesome package. I would like one can or container or whatever of some type of smell goods.(not deodorant, I'm talking smell goods you know?), Other than that I honestly can't think of anything more I would need than just your continued support and prayers. I don't say that as a cleche thing, but honestly I don't have anything I would really need. I already have a billion pez's and bey blades haha. What else could I possibly ask for? You give me amazing support and love. That's all I really want and need. Thanks for all that you do. I don't think you know how much it means!

#7 You guys are amazing

Ok so now on to the letter!

You guys!! I Love the Anaheim 3rd ward! I love working with Elder Sumsion! I love working with President Bowen! I love the position I've been put in! I love have personal and companionship study every morning and learning more everyday about the gospel! I love feeling the spirit every day! I love putting on my name tage everyday and going up and talking to every single person we can see about this great beautiful church! I love teaching the gospel to others! I love the missionaries I get to serve around! I love having a daily planner filled with things to do to build the Lord's kingdom! I love wearing a white shirt and tie every day! I love being broke and being forced to learn to cook stuff! I hated cleaning up my bathroom when I first got to this area because it was the nastiest thing I've ever done, but now I love it! I love getting e-mails everyweek from you about how the gospel is blessing your lives even when there is so much trial going on! I love that what I'm doing out here is affecting your lives! I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!!!!! I LOVE MY MISSION!!!!! THIS IS SOOOOO AWESOOMMMMEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this week I went on exchanges to a spanish ward with one of the spanish zone leaders, Elder Espitia. He's illegal haha. He's awesome though! He's the only Mexican I've met who loves taco bell almost as much as I do. We had a lot of teaching appointments and I got to learn some more spanish for teaching and more ways of contacting. You guys, we were in the ghetto ghetto. In the middle of Santa Ana. You can ask Brian about that, I'm sure he knows. But it was awesome! Cuz even the cholo's have so much respect for us. Even if they are not interested, they will still listen to us and treat us as representatives of Jesus Christ. It's really cool actually. Did a ton of teaching. I probably won't ever go back to those area's of town not as a missionary haha. It was sweet though!!

We have a new investigator. His name is Michael. He's from Morroco. I'm pretty sure it's the place at the very beginning of Casino Royal where the mongoose and the cobra are fighting and there is a huge chase scene with James Bond and that terrorist guy. Correct me if I'm wrong but I"m pretty sure that's the place. ANyways! He's lived there and in France as well and has been to a ton of countries around the world. He has a very thick accent. He's extremely polite and his apartment is hotter than Lava. Holy cow. I got out of that place Medium Rare. He has a baptismal date for the 22nd of September. We're pretty confident he'll make that. He believes in prophets. The only hang up is he talks soo much. It will take a while to teach him because he can flap his jaw more than anyone! haha It's cool though cuz he's super nice and always has very knowledgable things to say, just cannot for the life of him talk for less than 9 or 10 minutes at a time. hah but he's came to church for the past 2 sundays and says he wants to "unite himself with this church" one of the main reasons being he doesn't really have any family out here. His daughter lives in another country, and he needs some type of family organization. He has decided through study and everything that this is the place to find that. We just need to teach him some more first before he can join this family. He's comin along though!

We also have a kid named Edward that we're working with. He's 12. Very nice kid. Very smart. His Grandma got baptized in the spanish ward and Edward really likes the church. We're meeting with him on wednesday. He's been taught quite a bit so far, but kind of fizzled out, so we're going to teach him and baptize him. He came to church yesterday as well.

So tomorrow we have Zone Leader Council, or Jedi Council as I like to call it. And this will be the first time that I give instruction. The Assistants pretty much conduct and instruct the whole thing and then President instructs the last 30 minutes. Elder Sumsion and I have really been guided by the Spirit in what we'll share. It's going to be a great lesson. We're going to start off by talking about "The Power and Authority of our Calling, and how to Access that Power by the Spirit." We're going to start off by reading a quote from Elder Christofferson that goes something like,"You received your authority by the laying on of hands, you recieve your power by obedience and faith." and we're just going to talk for a sec about how out of the billions of people on the earth, the Lord has called on chosen 52,000 that he trust to build his Kingdom. Out of those 52,000 he has selected a handful to be the examples for the rest of his chosen servants, and we're just going to tell them that they have been called of the Lord to be the examples for his chosen servants. Just to set the tone for the meeting, then we're going to talk about the conditions upon how we access the power of our calling/priesthood and then we're going to talk about relying on the spirit rather than our own knowledge and experience in everyday work. It's going to be a really great meeting! We're stoked about it.

Dad hang in there!! Everytime you do a Chemo sesh, you're one more session close to being finished with it! Keep hangin in there! I love you! My prayers are with you everyday! Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. I really wish there was more that I could do! I know you can get through this! Just access your manliess and punch the cancer in the face!! haha Love you dad!!
